Curse of the disappearing Wi Fi with Windows 10

Disappearing Wi Fi with Windows 10

Wi Fi problems have plagued me since upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1

Myself like thousands of others have found that their Wi Fi randomly stops working and , in my case, only resetting the Virgin router and laptop network card seems to bring the connection back.

I have read what seems like hundreds of articles to try and resolve with none of them working.

Here’s a few

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3084164

http://www.techtimes.com/articles/74022/20150805/windows-10-bugs-problems-and-fixes-activation-wi-fi-connectivity-chrome-browser-audio-issues-and-more.htm

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/how-fix-no-wi-fi-available-issue-after-windows-10-upgrade-1513654

So I have tried just about everything apart from rolling back to Windows 8.1 which I am loath to do as there is no guarantee that this will solve the issue.

So anyway I’ve given up trying to fix the Wi Fi issue and resorted to going hardwired ,OK means the laptop is not mobile anymore but what the hell do most of my mobile stuff on the Hudl and Samsung A3.

Luckily I’ve got parts of the network setup with TP-LINK TL-PA4020PKIT AV500 Two-Port Powerline Adapter with AC Pass Through Starter Kit/Twin PackΒ adaptors so I’ve just purchased another set , from Amazon , to extend this so I’ve got a network point for the laptop.

Since installing it no network drop outs at all, Bliss.
